At the moment and till 30th April 2021, there are some border crossing limitations. EU countries have agreed on a coordinated approach to the restriction of free movement in response to the coronavirus pandemic. This includes a color code for the classifications of regions – green, orange, yellow and grey – based on the epidemiological situation there. They also agreed on common criteria that they should apply when deciding whether to introduce travel restrictions, a common approach for travelers from ‘red areas’ (testing and self-quarantine), as well as on providing more clear and timely information to the public. More you can find on the official Re-open EU site.
In order to make it easier for you to enter Croatia, the Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of the interior have prepared an online form that you can fill out in advance and shorten waiting on the border.

Shortly, you should keep the social distancing, prepared to be asked to wear the mask in some enclosed spaces, and to disinfect your hands practically everywhere, but don’t worry, each shop, supermarket, shopping mall, restaurant, gas station, tourist agency, and other public places are provided with those supplies. There is a possibility that you’ll have to wait to enter those places because there is a limitation of the number of people who can be in enclosed spaces at the same time.
Also, according to the social distancing rule, there is a limited number of places in the restaurants and bars and also on the public beaches. Because of that, there won’t be so many people on the beaches and you and your family have to be distanced at least 1,5 m to other people.
If you are of exploratory spirit, on the island Krk you can find many isolated beaches which are distanced from centres of tourist places. There will be a place in the sea for everyone.
We are looking forward to your visit and we hope that you will thoroughly enjoy your stay on our beautiful island of Krk!
